A mother's "Must Haves"

Parenting's "Baby's Must Haves" is a very well organized, comprehensive guide for the first year. It gives great tips on what to get and what not to get. It's a good guide for first time parents.

I also like "Simply Natural Baby Food". For those of us who are concerned about what else is ingested along with food, this is a good, practical guide with simple recipes. The nutritional information included in the book is great for those who want to give their babies the right start with the right foods! I simply love it and highly recommend it.

My favorite Baby/Parent Blogs

Ask Moxie is certainly a great site. Lots of good information and insight. I found answers to many of my questions here.

Uncommon Misconception is a cute blog. I find it funny and witty, and have identified myself with many of the feelings and circumstances described in the blog.

I love City Mama. It's all about the recipes! Yum! I love her Food For Babies section.

Parent Hacks is a great site that offers sound advice.

I am Bossy. Definitely. It's funny. It keeps it real.

365 Tips. No need for an explanation.

The Poop: don't let the title fool you. This blog is worth checking out!

Abigail's Book of the Month

October's Books of the Month are a series of Lucy Cousin's books about Maisy and her adventures. Abbie loves lift-thef-flap books, no matter what they are, but she prefers Maisy's books, because the flaps are actually small parts of the scenery, rather than a big, almost page size flaps like in the Karen Katz's books, for example. Also, the flaps open in more ways than one. She loves the challenge of getting those little flaps lifted, and she's actually very good at finding the spot that allows her to open them. So, "Where are Maisy's friends?" is definitely in her favorite list this month, along with all her other Maisy's books!

Also, Abbie's all time favorite book, the one she never tires of, is "Bunny's Noisy Book", by Margaret Wise Brown. She, simply put, adores this cute little book. I have been reading it to her almost every day since she was four months old, and Abbie gets so excited as soon as she sees its cover. She turns each page for me, and laughs and squeals so loud whenever I play out the "noises" in the book for her. She gets to excited, that she starts squealing in anticipation, too! Her reaction, day after day, has never changed. So this is the only one among her many books that has never been shelved!
